Brian Best is Director, Warehousing & Distribution for London Drugs Limited. He has 38 years practice in supply chain operations, transportation, warehousing & logistics. Brian began his logistics career in 1982 as a part time courier with Federal Express. Last mile, personalized delivery and pick-up service were the intent of Fed Ex long before the internet and E-commerce were conceived. Brian developed many logistics skills and helped advance state-of-the-art parcel tracking, satellite networking systems, and early GPS systems with Fed Ex in Toronto, before moving out west to join London Drugs Limited in 1989. London Drugs is a western Canadian drug store, consumer goods and specialty services retailer since 1945. Upon joining London Drugs Brian immediately worked to design and build a warehouse and supply chain management system to enable London Drugs’ plans to expand their business from 34 to now 82 bricks and mortar stores throughout western Canada.
